NGMI

NGMI

NGMI is the acronym for "Not Gonna Make It", an expression from crypto jargon and Web3 that literally means "he/she/they will not make it". It is used, often in a mocking or provocative way, to refer to a person or behavior deemed unstrategic, ill-informed, or contrary to the beliefs of the crypto community.

In contrast, there is "GMI" ("Gonna Make It"), used to congratulate or encourage those who, according to the community, adopt the right investment or participation instincts in the ecosystem.

NGMI is therefore a cultural meme as well as a marker of belonging in online crypto communities, particularly on Twitter, Discord, or Reddit.

Investments in cryptoassets involve risks of partial or total loss of capital. Additionally, past returns are not a reliable indicator of future returns. Cryptoassets are inherently volatile and risky, and it is important to fully understand these risks before deciding to acquire them.
